In your last real conversation you said a bunch of stuff that I really didn’t want to hear you say about people who aren’t purebloods. I don’t know if you really believe that rubbish or not, but if you want to have a future it’s time to take steps and improve the treatment of everyone in your employ. If you ever cared about our friendship, it’s time to rise up or hide. Someone in your family ought to be able to handle fidelius if necessary.

If this is goodbye, so be it. I hope you find future happiness in hard work and equality.

We flew round and round talking about what we wanted for the future. Years ago I chose to follow Harry and take action to make the future better than the fear we all live in. You tried to hide rather than help Harry spy in Buckingham. I understood then, but you can see how well that worked out for the other ‘great’ families that tried to toe the party line and keep themselves safe. Malfoy, Selwyn, Fleet, Greengrass, Wood among so many others. The first sign of “disloyalty” even false accusations and it all burned around them. It’s time to take action. In the ‘Protectorate’ your options are, in Voldemort’s own words, submit or die. I know you and your family have too much pride to submit totally and utterly. Raise your wands in defense of you and yours.

I’m sorry I had to hide from you. I was involved with all the professors who fled and died that day. We were afraid I would be interrogated if I stayed and when I was found out you would suffer even though you knew nothing of my revolutionary feelings.

I’ve missed you all every single day and I’m sorry beyond what words can say about how I’ve hurt you in the last six months by being gone.

Mum, Do what you have to do to protect as many people in the family from as much harm as you can. I’ll do what I can.

Dad, Listen to your wife. While the future could be bright it won’t look the same as the past. The people you’ve pandered to at work can no longer protect you. In fact your relationship to them will hurt you in the eyes of too many. Do the best thing for your family and hide.

To Jaspar I’ll be there shortly. The kids I told you to listen to at the beginning of the year? Listen to them. Hide and be safe, help is coming.
